pHD by Paonia Soil Co. is a fully organic, citric acid-based solution designed to help growers moderate pH levels safely and effectively, without introducing heavy metals or synthetic chemicals.
Why pHD?
Water sources in the Rocky Mountain West and beyond are often highly alkaline, which can cause soil pH to rise over time, resulting in nutrient lockout and reduced plant performance. pHD provides a natural, reliable way to bring your water’s pH down to optimal levels for plant uptake and microbial activity.
How to Use pHD:
The ideal dosage will vary based on your starting pH, but a general guideline is to:
- Fill a gallon container with your well or irrigation water
- Test your water’s pH
- Add 1 teaspoon of pHD at a time, stir, and test again
- Repeat until you reach your target soil pH (typically between 6.4 and 6.8)
Once you determine the appropriate amount to reach your ideal pH, you can use that information to set a consistent dosage rate via a dosing pump for ongoing use.
7.8 OZ Bag
Pro Tip: We suggest purchasing pHD in bulk (50 lb) for long-term pH management, especially for farms and large-scale operations using well water.
