Perlite

Medium perlite is a lightweight, sterile, volcanic glass that is heat-expanded to create porous, white particles that improve soil aeration and drainage. It is a versatile, mid-grade size, between 1/32′′ and 1/8′′ in diameter, making it ideal for general gardening use in potting mixes for vegetables, flowers, and houseplants. It is nearly pH-neutral and helps prevent soil compaction, allowing plant roots to breathe and thrive.
