Holy basil commonly grown outside the front door in India. This “Queen of Basils” has been cultivated for religious and medicinal purposes for over 4000 years. It’s used as a soothing tea and remedy for many common ailments and is a known adaptogen. Has an unusual sweet aroma and flavor reminiscent of vanilla and anise. This variety came from Seed Saver Unpetu Oihankesni.
